This is everything the ad says it is. It’s easy to put together. It actually looks very nice in a room. It’s a simple design – the legs have a threaded post sticking out, and they screw into threaded metal plates that are secured to the underside of the seat. Literally a couple of minutes to assemble. Everything except the rattan portion of the seat is made out of wood. The rattan is stretched tight and secure, which is nice compared to a lot of others.I don’t think I would trust it as a stool for a larger person. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m not going to test that. I actually intend to use it as a small table, next to a bedroom chair. That couldn’t work if the rattan wasn’t tight. It should be obvious, but it’s not made for outside.The legs aren’t straight up and down – as the picture shows, they are set out at an angle. That makes it stable, but it provides stability, but it also provides leverage that would probably make a heavy weight bend the metal connections. The good thing is that the legs and the outside rim are made of real wood which should hold up to stresses. I think you could use it as a stool for “average” sized people.
