When a person slides forward in a chair it can increase the pressure on the coccyx area, and may also affect their breathing. Sitting correctly can also help with eating, compared to being slumped in a chair. This product can also help nurses or carers save time if the person doesn’t need to be re-positioned regularly. WHO SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT? The Non-Slide Chair Pad is suitable for people who are able to sit down correctly with their bottom at the back of the chair. When sitting on the Pad, it will be difficult to slide, unless the person is very active and moves a lot on the chair. If they are not able to sit still, the Pad may not be suitable for them.
